Prolong® Super Lubricants participates in many hot rodding related events around the country and they wanted a car that would haul their gear to these shows while doubling as a show piece once they arrived.  What do you build when you need a work horse that also pays homage to the history of hot rodding days-gone-by?

Support vehicles may not have been the enthusiasts’ focus at the time, but they were an important part of the culture and a fixture and drag strips across the county during the 1960s.  Drag enthusiasts would load up the family wagon with spare parts and tools, hook up the trailer or tow bar, and head across country to the track.  Once at the track, these wagons served as the main hub for enthusiasts, serving as tool box, parts runner, shelter, sleeping quarters, and most importantly….. push-car.  Sounded like a win to Prolong!

The next phase was to find a car, tap the talents of Steve Stanford and Steve Strope for design, round up some high quality parts, and get the car over to Strope and his crew at Pure Vision in Simi Valley, California to start the build!
