Now this is really cool!  The factory steering column has been shortened and modified to accept this incredible electric power steering motor from Flaming River.  This is an amazing piece of hardware that is unfortunately hidden under the dash....

Maier Racing inboard cantilever coil over rear suspension
The suspension “trickfest” doesn’t stop!  Just when your head stopped spinning from the JME front setup, along comes the Maier Racing inboard cantilever coil over rear suspension.  All together now-ooohhh, aaahhhh!

Behold the awesomeness that is JME!  This dear friends is the front suspension.  Basically, your garden variety inboard cantilever coil-over system.  The mad scientists at JME Enterprises created this beauty so we can put it through its paces.  Ye-Haw!

Lots here to see.  The re-enforced floor pans, the relocated/fabricated trans. mounts, the JME sub-frame connectors, and the awesome Tremic 5-speed prepared by Modern Driveline.  Bruce Couture at Modern Driveline did not want to take any chances so he dialed in the Tremic, sent along one of Quick Time’s bitchin bell housings, and upped the ante with a killer Kevlar clutch.

How would you like this showing up at your garage?  Folks, what you are looking at is 521 cubic inches of all aluminum Boss 9 built by none other than the masters themselves at Jon Kaase Racing Engines.  This little gem is good for 805 horses! Oomph!

The owner Matt and I needed to finalize styling ideas so I called up Tavis Highlander for some idea sketches which were finalize and became incorporated into the final concept illustration.

Every project has to start somewhere right?  Here are the humble beginnings of the Anvil Mustang.  It wasn’t extra special, but is was rather clean and had what we needed.
